North Bend City Hall Study

The City of North Bend is quickly becoming a premiere outdoor adventure destination the Pacific Northwest. To reflect the City's vision of the growing town, TCA designed a facility that embraces the past, present and future without losing its small-town appeal. TCA developed a consensus based design which balanced costs with long-term savings, is energy efficient, durable and has the flexibility to grow over time. Using the notion of a community hearth, a place to gather and share ideas, the City Hall was designed around a community pavilion anchored by a large masonry fireplace. The building has varying levels of transparency and security which allow citizens to engage the facility without impacting the security of staff.
